One of the first priorities identified when SHFT Hockey was established was to lead by example through the creation of purposeful, positive relationships with non-profit organizations in the global hockey community, in the communities where we train, and in under-served hockey communities around the world.

Each one of our camps supports at least one non-profit in the city the camp is hosted, while we have selected some global non-profits that are aimed at improving the game and the world at large through their efforts, with a portion of our private training and camp registration fees donated toward supporting their missions.

SHFT Hockey donates $1 from every goaltender related training session and camp registration to Lift the Mask, which acknowledges the need for mental health and performance related support for goaltenders, making it's mission to generate awareness and connect those in need with resources to assist them.

In the fall of 2019, junior hockey player Nick Smith took his own life. In the winter of 2020, SHFT Hockey brought together players and coaches from the OHL, GOJHL, and USports hockey communities to run a charity skills clinic in Nick's hometown of Lucan. The event raised more than $2,500 and contributed to a campaign by the local boys peewee team that raised a massive amount of awareness and more than $20,000 for mental health research and treatment.
